General Terms and Conditions and Terms of Use

Article 1. Scope

i. These General Terms and Conditions of Sale and Use define the relationship between our company, Sykz, a joint-stock company located at Rue du Pilier, Lot 19, 2nd floor, 93300 Aubervilliers, France, registered in the Bobigny Trade Register under number 911 160 034, operator of the online shop www.sykz.co.uk, and you, the customer entering into a purchase agreement with us.
ii. We apply a uniform policy and offer the same services to all customers, whether or not they are consumers. The following provisions therefore apply to all our customers.
iii. These terms primarily concern the purchase of products through our e-commerce website.


Article 2. Orders

2.1 Prices

The sales prices of products on the Sykz website, displayed in euros, are valid at the time the order is placed.
Sykz reserves the right to change prices at any time; such changes will be shown to the buyer before placing the order. These apply only to online sales.

Prices do not include shipping costs, which are charged separately or may be waived depending on the product. Shipping fees are shown before submitting the order. All shipping methods are described in the Terms and Conditions on the website and may be updated at any time. Buyers are encouraged to review them regularly.

Prices include VAT applicable at the time of the order. Any changes to the VAT rate are automatically reflected in product prices.

2.2 Products

Our product offers are valid while stocks last. Availability is indicated on each product page (whether purchasable or not).

If, despite our best efforts, a product becomes unavailable after your order is confirmed, Sykz will notify you by email and refund the price of the ordered product as well as any advance payments.


Article 3. Payment

The buyer guarantees Sykz that they have the necessary authorizations to use the chosen payment method.
Different payment methods may be offered depending on the product, current offers, or the chosen delivery option (“Home”, “Pickup Point”, etc.).

3.1 Accepted Payment Methods on www.sykz.co.uk

3.1.1 PayPal

The buyer must have a PayPal account. They are redirected to a secure PayPal page to enter their email and password. Payment and personal data are protected through encryption.
In case of returns, refunds are made to the same PayPal account used for the order. Payment by PayPal is not available for “Click & Collect” orders.

3.1.2 Credit Cards

Accepted cards include CB, VISA, Eurocard/Mastercard, American Express, and all payment methods compatible with Shop Pay (Stripe partner).

3.2 Payment Security

To secure card payments, the buyer must enter the three-digit CVV code on the back of the card when using Shop Pay.

For fraud prevention, order-related data may be transmitted to legally authorized third parties or Sykz-appointed verification services.
Sykz reserves the right to request a copy of an identity document and additional information. Every buyer has the right to access, correct, and delete their personal data.

Sykz uses the secure Shop Pay payment system (partner of Stripe, EU-certified).

Article 4. Items & Shipping

Depending on parcel size and delivery address, Sykz may offer various delivery methods at checkout. Delivery to some areas (e.g., military bases) may be excluded — in such cases, customers will be notified by email.

Delivery conditions, fees, and times vary depending on the chosen method and are shown before payment.

4.1 Shipping Methods and Costs

Shipping costs are displayed before payment is completed. There are no additional charges afterward.


Article 5. Withdrawal, Refund & Returns

5.1 Right of Withdrawal / “Satisfaction or Your Money Back” Offer

In accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the buyer may withdraw without justification starting from receipt of the goods or their availability through a third party.

Sykz extends this right of withdrawal to 90 days from receipt or availability.
All return cases and conditions are detailed in our Refund Policy.

5.2 Exercising the Right of Withdrawal

In-store Return

For products shipped by Sykz, the buyer may return them with order and delivery receipts to our address: Rue du Pilier, Lot 19, 2nd floor.
Refunds are issued after inspection.

Return by Mail

The return address is provided to the buyer by email.


Article 7. Warranties

7.1 Legal Warranties

All products offered on the website are covered by the legal warranty of conformity (Articles L217-4 et seq. Consumer Code) and the warranty against hidden defects (Articles 1641 et seq. Civil Code).
Buyers may return defective or non-conforming items free of charge.

7.1.1 Warranty of Conformity

  • Art. L217-4: The seller must deliver goods that comply with the contract and is liable for any lack of conformity at the time of delivery.

  • Art. L217-5: Goods conform if they are fit for their intended purpose and match the description given by the seller.

  • Art. L217-12: The limitation period for defects is two years from delivery.

7.1.2 Warranty for Hidden Defects

  • Art. 1641 Civil Code: The seller is liable for hidden defects that render the item unfit for its intended use.

  • Art. 1648: Legal action must be taken within two years of discovering the defect (or one year under Art. 1642-1).

7.1.3 Exclusions

Warranty does not cover: modified, repaired, or altered products, visible defects, transport damage, or misuse.


7.2 Enforcement of Warranties

The buyer has two years from delivery to claim for lack of conformity and may choose between repair or replacement (Art. L217-9).
Within the first six months, the buyer is not required to prove the defect (except for second-hand goods).
These legal warranties apply in addition to any commercial guarantees.

For hidden defects, under Art. 1641 Civil Code, the buyer may request contract cancellation or a price reduction (Art. 1644).

7.3 Consequences of Warranty Claims

Under the conformity guarantee: Sykz will replace the product (if available) or refund the price.
For hidden defects: after evaluation, Sykz may refund the full price or a partial amount if the buyer keeps the item.


Article 8. Sample Shipments

We offer selected customers free product samples (e.g., perfumes and cosmetics) to test our products.
The selection is limited by available stock.


Article 9. Processing of Personal Data

Sykz collects personal data from buyers and, if applicable, recipients of orders.
The purpose, recipients, storage duration, and collection conditions are detailed in the website’s Privacy Policy, where you will also find information on your rights as a data subject.


Article 10. Intellectual Property

The website and all its elements (trademarks, images, logos, models, etc.) are the property of Sykz or used under license.
Any full or partial reproduction is only permitted if a link to our website or the corresponding image is provided.


Article 11. Liability

11.1 Limitation of Liability

Sykz is not liable if the buyer breaches these Terms or in the event of unavoidable circumstances, third-party actions, or force majeure under French law.

11.2 Buyer’s Legal Capacity

The buyer confirms having the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Sykz is not required to verify the capacity of visitors or buyers.
For buyers lacking legal capacity, their legal representatives are fully responsible for the order and payment.


Article 12. Amendments

Sykz reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time without prior notice.
Buyers and users are encouraged to review the Terms, Legal Notices, Conditions of Use, and Privacy Policy regularly.
The version in force at the time of ordering applies.
