The name Lalique evokes the brilliance of jewellery but also the incredible transparency and brilliance of crystal. Before it became a brand, it was the name of a man, an incredible artist, an exceptional jeweller and glassmaker, René-Jules Lalique, who put all his creative enthusiasm into his brand. Lalique opened his first jewellery and glassware shop in 1905. His Art-Nouveau and Art Deco creations incorporated many natural elements (both materials and shapes). Perfumer François Coty was really impressed by this work, so he naturally asked Lalique to work with the perfume industry to create some magnificent bottles. The Lalique brand has always been linked to perfumery, but the first Lalique perfume was not launched until 1992. Lalique perfumes carry with them an exceptional signature that combines incredible bottle design and exceptional component quality
